Visiting The Spa
Is The Spa open to the public, or do I have to be a hotel guest?
The Spa at Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards welcomes day guests as well as guests staying at the Inn. You do not need to be an overnight guest to book a treatment — call 276-285-2404 or send an appointment request and we will confirm your time.
What are the spa hours?
The Spa is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
Where is the spa located?
22014 Nicewonder Drive, Bristol, Virginia 24202, on the Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards property in the Virginia Highlands — about 15 minutes from Abingdon and about 20 minutes from downtown Bristol.
Do you take walk-ins?
Treatments are by appointment. We do our best to accommodate same-day requests when a therapist is available, so it is always worth calling 276-285-2404 to ask.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend two to three weeks ahead for weekends, couples treatments and holiday periods. Weekday mornings are usually the easiest times to reserve at short notice.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive fifteen minutes before your treatment so you can check in, change and settle into the relaxation lounge. Late arrivals may shorten the treatment time so the next guest is not delayed.
Booking, Cancellations & Payment
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations inside 24 hours, and no-shows, may be charged the full service price.
Is gratuity included in the treatment price?
Gratuity is not included. It is entirely at your discretion, always appreciated by your therapist, and can be added at checkout.
Can I book a couples treatment?
Yes. The Duo Massage (75 minutes, $420) is a side-by-side massage for two, and The Couples Sanctuary (105 minutes, $550) adds a private outdoor nature bath, dry brushing and massage. The Couples Sanctuary is a seasonal, weather-dependent offering.
Do you host bridal parties or group bookings?
Groups can be arranged around therapist availability, and Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards is a wedding destination. Please call 276-285-2404 to discuss dates and party size so we can plan the timing properly.
Treatments
How much does a facial cost?
Facials run from $225 for the 75-minute Signature Custom Facial and Signature Gentlemen's Facial, up to $275 for the 75-minute AquaBoost Radiance Facial. Most specialty facials are $240 to $250.
How much does a massage cost?
A 75-minute Classic Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage is $210, with a 105-minute Deep Tissue option at $275. Thai Massage is $250 and Bellabaci Cupping Therapy Massage is $255 for 75 minutes.
Which facial should I choose?
Choose the Signature Custom Facial if it is your first visit and you want the protocol built around your skin on the day. Choose the Vino-Glow Vitamin C for dullness and dark spots, Reveel & Reset for fine lines and hydration, LaFlore Probiotic for a compromised or reactive barrier, AquaBoost Radiance for congestion and clogged pores, and the Mulled Wine Facial if your skin is sensitive.
What is the difference between deep tissue and Thai massage?
Deep Tissue uses oils and sustained, targeted pressure on a table, with heated herbal packs to release chronically tight muscles. Thai Massage is performed clothed on a floor mat with no oils, and uses assisted stretching, acupressure and rhythmic compression — choose it for mobility and flexibility rather than deep muscular pressure.
Can I add anything to my treatment?
Yes. LED Light Therapy Mask ($50, 10 minutes) and Dermaplaning ($50) can be added to any facial. Mention it when booking so we can allow the extra time.
Health, Comfort & Etiquette
Is there an age minimum?
Guests must be 18 or older to receive spa services. Guests aged 16 to 17 may be treated with a parent or guardian present.
I'm pregnant — can I still book?
Please tell us when you book. Some treatments are not recommended during pregnancy, including the Revive Gemstone Infrared and Eco-Fin Therapy, and your therapist will adapt or recommend an alternative.
What should I tell you before my treatment?
Let us know about pregnancy, allergies, injuries, recent surgery, high blood pressure or any other medical condition when booking, so your therapist can adapt the treatment safely.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you are comfortable arriving in — a robe and slippers are provided. Thai Massage is performed clothed, so loose, stretchy clothing works best for that treatment.
Can I use my phone at the spa?
The Spa is a phone-free environment. We ask that mobile devices are silenced and conversation kept low in the treatment and lounge areas.
